
Outpatient Psychiatry
- At Tranquil Haven, our psychiatric evaluations are conducted by a board-certified pediatric psychiatrist with years of experience in child mental health. A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to identify and diagnose emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns in children and adolescents.
- Early diagnosis matters because it gets your child quickly back on the path to mental wellness, enabling them to have the ability to meet their developmental milestones and thrive within child serving systems.
- Initial evaluation: ~90 minute interview of the patient and parent/guardian. Information gathered during this interview is used to determine diagnosis, a treatment plan is developed, which could include, diagnostic workup, medication and/or therapy and collaboration with other providers.
- Follow up appointment: ensuring the patient continues with the treatment plan and evaluating efficacy of treatment interventions and medications prescribed. Takes ~30 minutes
